Sadly, dreams of a unified city, state, and nation are highly unlikely to ever happen again. Why?
Historically we quietly voted for who and what we believed or could speak factually about our chosen candidates or policies, we knew boys became men and that girls became women, we respected parental rights, we supported our law enforcement officers, and most of us believed in God and stood for our country’s national anthem.
Instead, we now have people who become unhinged about how people vote and censoring people to elevate their own ideology, people who ignore biology to promote feelings over facts, a government who weaponizes three-letter agencies against parents and calling parents ‘domestic terrorists’ for embracing actual science, people demonizing our unappreciated and overworked law enforcement officers, and people turning away from God and, worse, villainizing people of faith. And those same people are making a mockery of our national anthem by kneeling throughout an event that historically brought our nation together.
It is the height of hypocrisy that locally, statewide, and across our nation these individuals enjoy the benefits of living in America, while at the same time verbally and physically making it clear that they hate everything about our beautiful country.
With such fundamental differences in our outlook, ethics, and morals and a refusal to follow the science and reality, I don’t know how we will ever have true unity again unless there are sweeping changes to get back to faith, family and freedom. I pray it happens.
