MONDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS
Blackhawks 1, Ducks 0: Jonathan Toews scored 51 seconds into overtime, and Chicago beat Anaheim in a rematch of last season’s Western Conference finals. The Ducks became the first NHL team since the New York Americans in 1930-31 to be shut out five times in its first eight games of a season.
Coyotes 4, Maple Leafs 3: Max Domi and Shane Doan had power-play goals in the first period as Arizona held on to beat Toronto.
Islanders 4, Flames 0: Jaroslav Halak stopped 29 shots for his second shutout in three starts.
Sabres: Evander Kane’s fresh start has been sidetracked by an injury to his left knee. The forward will miss approximately four to six weeks, coach Dan Bylsma announced after practice. Kane was hurt in the third period of a 4-3 loss to New Jersey on Saturday.
