WOODBRIDGE, Va. (AP) Authorities say they have arrested a man who shot another man in the face during an argument inside a homeless camp.
The Washington Post reports (http://wapo.st/1icdgOQ ) that 43-year-old Daniel Clay was arrested Friday on charges including aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Police spokesman Nathan Probus says the shooting left a 28-year-old Woodbridge man with life-threatening injuries.
Prince William County authorities say the incident began after the two men started arguing around 10:45 p.m. at the homeless camp in Woodbridge. Police say the argument escalated and Clay shot the victim in the face.
Probus says the victim is still in a hospital.
Clay is being held without bond. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had an attorney to contact for comment on the case.
