RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a man suspected of stealing a Corvette Stingray from a Culver City dealership was arrested after a freeway chase and a standoff some 60 miles away in Riverside.

KNBC-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1OUHrst) an employee at Bunnin Chevrolet was hurt when the suspect slammed the employee’s hand in the car door as he sped off late Monday.

The driver led police on a pursuit on Interstate 10 and other freeways before the California Highway Patrol used a spike strip to stop the white Corvette.

After a short standoff the driver was taken into custody.
