Reese Witherspoon wants to make a third “Legally Blond” film.
You might too, if your last big release was the cataclysm that was “Hot Pursuit.”
According to the New York Daily News, the 39-year-old “Wild” actress recently appeared on “Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe,” and offered some thoughts on “Legally Blonde 3.” “I think we’re ready to see Elle and see what she’s up to lately,” said Witherspoon, who won an Oscar for playing June Carter Cash in “Walk The Line.”
“A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it. I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court justice or someone who runs for office.”
Great. Just as long as Sofia Vergara doesn’t play Sonia Sotomayor.
The first “Legally Blond” helped make Witherspoon a star in 2001. The sequel “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde” was released two years later.
