Jimmy Fallon should change his name to “Mr. Hand.”
The “Tonight Show” host hurt his hand again Saturday after tripping and falling while carrying a bottle at an event at Harvard, according to CNN.
The former “Saturday Night Live” comic was there to receive Harvard Lampoon’s Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor. A spokesman for Fallon said he tripped over a woman who bent down near him as he turned around. He then fell onto broken glass.
Fallon ended up at Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital to verify there wasn’t glass in his hand. Then he went back to the party.
My opinion of Jimmy Fallon may have just improved some. Because when one falls off the horse — in this case into a broken bottle of alcohol — they just have to get back on.
Someone named Ryan Schuster posted a video of Fallon taking the tumble to YouTube and Instagram.
The comic posted a photo of his hand Sunday, captioned “Nothing that a few band aids couldn’t fix.”
There’s just something about Fallon’s hands. He nearly lost a finger in June, after a freak accident in his kitchen. Doctors operated on him for six hours, and the mishap kept him in the hospital — including time in the Intensive Care Unit — for 10 days.
And, just for fun, Fallon chipped a tooth in August while trying to open a tube of ointment for his injured finger.
“Thank you Dr. Jobe DDS!” Fallon captioned a photo of the tooth on social media. “#BestSummerEver.”
