OAKLAND — A man was robbed of cash and shot Tuesday morning in East Oakland by a gunman who fled on a bicycle, police said.
The attack happened about 12:10 a.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of 104th Avenue.
Police said a 28-year-old man was in his vehicle stopped at a stop sign when the suspect rode up on a bicycle, pointed a gun at him and demanded money.
The man gave the robber cash without any resistance but was still shot in the leg by the robber who then rode off, police said. The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was in stable condition.
The robber is described as black, in his 30s, about 5 feet 8 and 200 pounds with a medium complexion and mid-length dreadlocks. He was wearing a jacket with a green square design, a dark hat and dark pants.
