Just in time for Halloween, Black Sabbath has announced another batch of North American dates, which includes a second Bay Area stop.

The mighty metal band performs Sept. 15 at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Tickets are $45-$150 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 31, www.ticketmaster.com.

That Oakland date is in addition to Black Sabbath’s previously announced show on Feb. 9 at the SAP Center in San Jose. Tickets are also $45-150.

Black Sabbath got its start in 1968 and went on to sell over 70 million albums across the globe and, perhaps most significantly, influence countless other acts. It’s known for such heavy classics as “Iron Man,” “War Pigs” and “Paranoid.”

The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

Black Sabbath still features three of its original members – vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Geezer Butler.

The group’s most recent album, “13,” topped the charts in 2013. It was Black Sabbath’s first-ever No. 1 album.
