I am reaching out to urge fellow Californians to take a stand on an issue that affects us all: the biannual clock changes.  Let’s support legislative efforts aimed at eliminating this outdated practice, specifically through Senate Bill (SB) 1413 and Assembly Bill (AB) 1776.

Most of us are fed up with this nonsense according to numerous polls, but the disruption caused by switching between daylight saving time and standard time twice a year is more than just an inconvenience; it impacts our health, safety, and economy.  Research shows that these changes can lead to increased risks of heart attacks, car accidents, and a decline in productivity due to disturbed sleep patterns.  SB 1413 and AB 1776 represent our state’s commitment to addressing these concerns.

Consequently, supporting these bills is not merely about avoiding the hassle of changing our clocks. It’s about improving the overall well-being of our community, enhancing road safety, and making a positive impact on our economy. The potential benefits of this change are significant, and it’s crucial that our voices are heard in Sacramento.

I strongly encourage all readers to contact their California state legislators today.  Express your support for SB 1413 and AB 1776, and let them know that you stand behind the movement to end biannual clock changes. Together, we can make a difference in our state’s future and take a step toward a healthier, safer, and more efficient California.
