This intersection is a disaster ready to happen. Living fairly close to this, I witness a red light runner on the average of one a day. (No exaggeration.) My family and I pause at the green light and check both ways before proceeding. Invariably there is a car or commercial truck jumping the red. It’s terrifying to think if we just paid attention to the green without checking we might be in a horrible accident.
I’ve written about this before with no response. The amount of “running the red light” tickets would be a financial boost to the city.
I would ask that a camera be installed here or a traffic cop monitor this for a week to see what I’m reporting about. Please do something to help raise awareness before there is a death at that intersection.
