We welcome letters to the editor on all issues of public concern.
Letters must be 250 words or fewer, typed and should include the writer’s first and last name, home address and telephone number for verification. No anonymous letters will be printed, and all must be printed with the writer’s true name.
Letters may be edited (or rejected) for length, taste, libel and clarity. Please avoid name calling or personal insults directed at your fellow citizens and letter writers; stick to the issues.
We print letters that are accepted in the order they are received. No exceptions. Only one letter per writer will be published per week.
Send letters via email without attachments to letters@chicoer.com. They can also be mailed to 400 E. Park Ave., Chico, CA 95927, but your letter will likely be published more quickly if you send it via email.
